Fords main dealer scan tool is the VCM (stands for Vehicle Control Module). PC based and supplied with latest Ford IDS (stands for Integrated Diagnostic Solution) software for UK market. Comes with 2 years subscription and is readily updateable.
It is the only tool for current and future Ford vehicles. Accurate diagnostics and advanced programming features like key programming (in & out codes are available), ECU matching & programming, Injector matching, and so on… Replacement Ford ECUs now often come blank and require programming to the vehicle with IDS software.
Setup for UK operation. Note requires laptop with Windows XP-Pro, not Vista, and free USB slot. Note we can offer technical help setting-up the equipment or supply a pre-loaded laptop for additional cost.

GM Vauxhall
GM Vauxhalls main dealer tool is the Tech 2. Now supplied with CAN module for the very latest vehicle coverage. The CAN module is genuine and not a cheaper 'clone' often sold with the Tech 2.
It is the only tool for current and future Vauxhall vehicles. Accurate diagnostics and advanced programming features. Replacement Vauxhall ECUs from year 2000 on are supplied blank and can only be only programmed to the vehicle with a Tech 2.
Requires laptop with Windows XP-Pro, not Vista, and a RS232 serial connection. We can supply a proper RS232 card for use with a laptop for an additional fee. Note not supplied with software - contact us for details and how we can help with setup.
